With over 72 hours of footage uploaded every minute, it’s physically impossible to keep track of the content on YouTube. But in YouTube Guide, the Daily Dot will curate its five favorite finds for each workday.
1) Laura Napoli, "'Legitimate Rape' Pharmaceutical Ad"
Voice actor and sketch comedian Laura Napoli takes her dig at Rep. Todd Akin's comments about "legitimate rape" with this pharmaceutical ad geared towards women who can't afford birth control.
2) Portrait STUdio, "Prom Photos"
The newest Above Average Network series documents the hardships and pitfalls of studio photographers Stu and Brad, two men determined to take glowing, beautiful portraits in the age of Instagram half-assery. In the premiere episode, the two try their hardest to make prom goer Brad look good, though the date's not doing much to help.
3) Andrew Keenan-Bolger and Ryan Breslin, "Newsies got Swag"
Call it Newsies for the modern age: actor/rapper Ryan Breslin teams up with the current cast of the Broadway classic to produce this hip-hop take on Alan Menken and Jack Feldman's "Seize the Day."
4) World Wide Interweb, "Ultimate Hurricane Reporter Fails"
Hurricanes themselves aren't all that funny in nature, but newscaster trying to get report form the scene sure are. With everybody talking Hurricane Isaac this week, the supercut masters at World Wide Interweb decided to cull together a greatest hits. Gotta love a rainy night!
The difference between ML's stop motion photo-a-day supercut and every other video of its ilk that's been made in the past five years? ML's is actually a music video. Set to the tune of Buckethead's "Jump Man," this 3:53 supercut swerves and turns with the same spastic energy as the guitar great's crazy closing solo.
"This is what I hope to be the first track in an ongoing series of photos and music set to my life," ML wrote. "I really started this just for me and posted it for friends. They were good times, and I will always remember them."
