With over 72 hours of footage uploaded every minute, it’s physically impossible to keep track of the content on YouTube. But in YouTube Guide, the Daily Dot will curate its five favorite finds for each workday.
1) The Warp Zone, “Glad You Came (The Wanted Parody)"
Master Chief is back just in time to rally the troops for the latest campaign. The Warp Zone parodies British boy band The Wanted to mark the upcoming release of Halo 4, and Master Chief and his backup dancers very much act the part.
2) Dr. Coolsex Comedy, “Kart - Official Trailer”
This trailer takes Mario Kart to another level. An homage to the Ryan Gosling movie Drive, it casts Mario as “the Driver.” He races to save Princess Peach as the recreation nails every highlight from the elevator fight to the nail in the head. Just remember: no lightning or shells.
3) HISHE, “How Casino Royale Should Have Ended”
If you look back on it, the entire premise of Casino Royale was kind of ridiculous. In HISHE’s latest spoof, James Bond points this out to M as she describes his latest mission because, let’s face it, simply arresting the villain would make for a pretty boring movie.
4) BuzzFeed, “Emoticats :)”
On the Internet cats reign supreme and have influenced what we see and post online. It’s only fitting that many of the emoticons we use every day also found their inspiration in more than a dozen cat photos.
5) Steve Greene, “Voters Get TROLLED”
Reporting for “PEN15,” Steve Greene sought out voters on Election Day to ask who they voted for, and managed to troll them no matter which one they chose.
