With over 72 hours of footage uploaded every minute, it’s physically impossible to keep track of the content on YouTube. But in YouTube Guide, the Daily Dot will curate its five favorite finds for each workday.
1) Slacktory, “The Claire Danes Cry Face Supercut”
The Claire Danes Cry Face Project made us aware that award-winning actress Claire Danes was good at crying. And now, thanks to the newest supercut from Slacktory featuring 10 TV shows and movies with Danes’s tears, Natalie Portman isn’t the only one with her own crying mashup.
2) Blackflip Wilson, “Black and Yellow: Baratheon Edition”
You thought they meant Pittsburgh? Nathan Cox, Andy Davison, and Kyle Henick channel the Baratheon brothers from Game of Thrones in a hip-hop tribute to Robert, Stannis, and Renly. Set between the first and second books, the track looks at each brother’s claim to the Iron Throne, and the three are about as friendly towards each other as they are in the series.
3) Blendtec, “Will It Blend? iPhone 5 vs. Galaxy S3”
Tom Dickson is in the market for a new cell phone, and in the never-ending debate between the “latest” and the “greatest” he’s stuck between the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S3. Naturally, he puts both phones to the blender, but there’s only one clear winner in this battle.
4) Jimmy Kimmel Live, “Who Won ‘Last Night’s’ Debate?”
Jimmy Kimmel decided to conduct a social experiment to find out who people on the street thought won last night’s Presidential Town Hall Debate. The catch? The debate hadn’t happened yet. Don’t worry, though: people still had an opinion on who won.
5) Los Angeles Times, “Space shuttle Endeavor’s crosstown journey through L.A.”
Created by the Los Angeles Times’s Bryan Chan, this time-lapse video captured Endeavor’s final journey from the Los Angeles International Airport to the California Space Center, and made the 12-mile voyage and the effort and maneuvers look seamless.
