With over 72 hours of footage uploaded every minute, it’s physically impossible to keep track of the content on YouTube. But in YouTube Guide, the Daily Dot will curate its five favorite finds for each workday.
1) ERB, “Batman vs Sherlock Holmes”
Batman and Sherlock Holmes are the latest to duke it out, rap-style, in YouTube “Epic Rap Battles of History,” and they leave no stone unturned as they aim for the cheap shots of the death of Bruce Wayne’s parents and Holmes’s cocaine addiction.
2) mcneik, “Turkey Surprise”
One man surprised his family this Thanksgiving after he flew home from Hong Kong for two days. His siblings were in on the surprise, but his parents were floored when they opened the door.
3) Symphony of Science, “Charlie Chaplin - Let Us All Unite!”
Charlie Chaplin’s 1940 film The Great Dictator is a criticism on Adolf Hitler, but his remixed speech in which he wishes to help everyone can still apply to audiences today.
4) Minute Physics, “Does the Universe Have a Purpose? feat. Neil deGrasse Tyson”
Astrophysicist and Internet hero Neil deGrasse Tyson tries to answer the question of whether the universe has a purpose, and while he isn’t completely sure, he argues that it’s highly unlikely that it does.
5) brusspup, “Amazing Anamorphic Illusions!”
Don’t believe that everything you see is exactly how it appears. YouTuber brusspup shows a desk full of different items that appear to be real, but turning the drawings around on the desk proves otherwise.
