Jimmy Kimmel has YouTubers read mean tweets ahead of VidCon

To be fair, it probably pales compared to what they get on a daily basis.

At one point or another, every movie star, musician, and athlete will feel the wrath of the terrible things people say on the internet about them, and now it’s the content creators’ turn to face the tweets.

As some of YouTube’s most recognizable names head to VidCon in Anaheim, California, they stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live for a creator edition of Jimmy Kimmel’s “Mean Tweets.” Everyone from the Vlogbrothers to Grace Helbig, Lilly Singh, Kingsley, and Tyler Oakley are here to read a series of expletive-ridden and insulting tweets about them. Most of them have witty comebacks, and Anthony Quintal brings out his mom and tells the person who insulted her to “say it to her face.”

The comments section of most YouTube videos are a complete cesspool to begin with (not including their other social media interactions), so they’ve probably all seen worse than whatever they read in the video—which is probably why they’re able to laugh it off so easily.
