Television dads are the counterpoint to their loving, on-screen wives. They give the worst advice, put their children in precarious positions and are not caring at all.
Just in time for Father’s Day, which is this Sunday, Flavorwire created a supercut titled “The Wisdom of our TV Dads.” The three-minute video features quotes from television fathers from Arrested Development, The Simpsons, Modern Family, and Louie, to name a few.
Don Draper imparting his wisdom that the “universe is indifferent” is probably my favorite, but comedian Louis C.K. flicking off his daughter after she reveals that she likes living with her mother more is a close second. Oh, and since it is pride month, the gay dads from Modern Family, Cameron and Mitchell, are featured and fantastic.
