The popular Tumblr blog T-Rex Trying features clever illustrations of the dinosaur failing to do everyday tasks like lighting birthday candles, reclining in a La-Z-Boy, and cleaning its ear using a Q-tip.

But one thing the dinosaur can do apparently is land a book deal.

Blog creators Hugh and Sarah Murphy have just inked a deal with Plume, a division of Penguin, to bring their insanely popular illustrations to print.

“We couldn’t be happier,” Sarah Murphy told the Daily Dot. “We actually accepted their offer (out of many- yay!) about three weeks ago, but wanted to wait until all papers were signed before announcing anything. It is all very exciting!”

The couple is still ironing out the details of the book but did say that it will include the site’s most popular illustrations: T-Rex Painting House (30,000 Tumblr reblogs); Picking Flowers (30,000 reblogs); T-Rex Bass, Banjo, Ukulele (16, 500 reblogs); T-Rex Price Is Right (9,500 reblogs); T-Rex Cardigan (9,500 reblogs).

Launched in January, T-Rex Trying quickly found an impressive audience. The blog has 32,000 Tumblr followers, has collected more than 1.25 million unique visitors, and been shared on Facebook more than 236,000 times. The couple has also sold more than $23,000 worth of T-shirts.
