A GIF on the home page of the New Yorker? Clearly reblogs and salutations are in order.

Here at the Daily Dot, we swap GIF images with each other every morning. Now we’re looping you in. In the Morning GIF, we feature a popular—or just plain cool—GIF we found on Reddit, Canvas, or elsewhere on the Internet.

On Friday the venerated New Yorker featured a GIF on its home page.

Congratulations, respect, likes and reblogs are due to artist Kris Mukai, the first to break the digital class barrier on behalf of our favorite animation format. Her image of a sweet moppet popping out of a coffee cup illustrates a story on the currently fashionable “Babycchino.”

This is a trend now?

I blame Howard Schultz.
