Here at the Daily Dot, we swap GIF images with each other every morning. Now we’re looping you in. In the Morning GIF, we feature a popular—or just plain cool—GIF we found on Reddit, Canvas, or elsewhere on the Internet.

Biography is an ancient and multifarious art, ceaselessly reinventing itself to reflect the times. Its protean nature has found expression in everything from hieroglyphics and cuneiforms on stone tablets to scrolls, books, graphic novels, films, and now, finally, to that pinnacle of representative art forms—the animated GIF.

And what greater subject for such treatment than Beyoncé? She is, herself, rather animated, and entirely representative of her time. Earlier this week, People magazine crowned  her the Most Beautiful Woman.

Over at Crasstalk.com, blogger Dancing Queen, assisted by LaZiguezon, has quietly been building a library of GIFographies: First came Canadian diva Celine Dion, then Kanye West. Where could they go from there but either Beyoncé or Cher?

From her first videos as part of Destiny’s Child to her most outré stage and video performances, every milestone of her rise has been lovingly, if somewhat passive-aggressively, chronicled in this amazing assemblage of 43 separate GIFs. It took us awhile, but we’ve chosen what we consider to be the definitive Beyoncé GIF.
