iJustine, the YouTube celebrity known for her Apple fan-girlisms and awkward dancing-in-public ways, joined Spike TV’s All Access Team for this year’s week-long coverage of the annual Consumer Electronics Show.
Justine Ezarik, known on the web as iJustine, began vlogging, or as she calls it, “life casting” in 2006, and since then, has amassed more than 236 million views on her main channel alone.
iJustine joins Joe Brown from Gizmodo, Geoff Keighley of Spike TV, tech reporter Rich DeMuro, comedian Jessie Cantrell, and actress Eliza Dushku, to bring the masses what Spike TV promises to be “exclusive coverage” of the consumer electronics extravaganza.
iJustine is no stranger to CES; having attended in 2011 and 2010. iJustine also has an in with Spike TV; since 2010, she’s been co-hosting Spike TV’s GTTV with video game journalist Geoff Keighley.
iJustine tweeted she is “so excited” to be hosting CES, before sharing a photo of the script she will be following. As for the huge “awesome” billboard of her in Vegas? “Whoa!”
It remains to be seen if iJustine wants to go the TV host route (she’s done E! News a bunch of times), as she’s also had quite the number of TV show appearances.
In 2009, she played a cadaver in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In 2011, she was killed in an episode of Criminal Minds, and just last week, cameoed in Vampire Diaries as a bartender.
iJustine is most likely keeping her options open at this point, though it’s hard to imagine she’s not being hounded by media job offers. YouTube stardom, and the income she earns from YouTube’s partner program, offer a level of freedom future employers would be hard-pressed to duplicate. In her latest video on her main channel, iJustine dodged a question from a fan about what’s in store for her future.
The Daily Dot named iJustine an “honorable mention” in the top 10 most important people on YouTube in 2011.
The first episode of Spike TV’s CES coverage airs Tuesday, and coverage will also be live-streamed, courtesy of Yahoo.
