Everyone wishes they were better with their finances, but getting started on the path to fiscal responsibility can be a tall order. From paying bills and building a budget to deciding on an investment strategy and saving for the future, there’s a lot of options, and sometimes you need some guidance in getting your money on the right track. To help, we’ve collected five YouTube channels that help you set and live on a budget, make smart financial choices, and maximize your monetary potential.

Beyond YouTube, Nashville-based expert Rachel Cruze is also a New York Times best seller who tackles the world of budgets and financial responsibility. Cruze covers specific goal-setting like saving just $500 at a time and goes broader into talking with your family about money and teaching your kids good fiscal habits. She even talks about how to deal with money when you’re dating a new person.

2) His and Her Money

For many, fiscal responsibility isn’t a solo endeavor. His and Her Money follows the journey of high school sweethearts who married and realized they had very different financial lives. They deal with the tricky world of combining debts, getting financially stable, and making money choices based on two people’s personal styles.

3) YoungAdultFinances

Designed specifically for the young adult demographic, YoungAdultFinances is true to its name, with targeted lessons for the millennial set. Founder LaTisha Styles shares tips for college students on a budget, how to pay off student loans, and improving your credit score. Most recently, Styles has started Periscoping her financial advice, and uploading the archived streams to her YouTube channel. The most recent topic: how to get new clients for millennial freelancers.

4) Budget Girl

Budget Girl follows every 20something’s quest to live debt free by sharing advice and tips from her own journey. While other channels might have more polish, Budget Girl keeps her style relatable and clearly DIY, sharing tips on garage sale shopping, buying items that help save her money in the long run, and openly declaring exactly how much debt she’s in as part of each video. That kind of openness keeps fans connected to her progress.

5) How to Adult

How to Adult deals with more than just the money matters of growing up, but it definitely includes a wide range of financial tips for new adults. Starring Emma Mills and T. Michael Martin and executive produced by YouTube stars Hank and John Green, the series covers home ownership vs. renting, how the stock market works, and how to understand credit cards. Plus, if you’re looking for help on how to be an “adult” beyond the world of finances, the channel has plenty of tips on finding a job, doing your laundry, and other things your family may or may not have taught you.
