Say goodbye to Instagram’s classic icon and look. The company has gone modern with the launch of an all-new redesign, and the changes extend from the icon to the app itself.
The new redesign is less about changing the function of Instagram than it is reestablishing its original focus: your pictures.
As longtime Instagram users will immediately notice, the look of the app has been dramatically simplified, removing almost all of the superfluous color from the design. It’s a simple move that draws the eye to the images and videos in your feed.
Outside of the streamlined design there are no other major changes with this version of Instagram. We’ll miss your old box camera icon of yore, but welcome our new rainbow future.
