Watch this dude catcall a woman in an anti-catcalling video

Way to miss the point, sir.

If there was any doubt that catcalling is still a problem, a report about a New York City anti-catcalling campaign drives the point home.

Patrick Jones of Buzz60 was doing a man-on-the-street segment about the campaign and asking passersby what they thought about it when he came across a guy who epitomized everything that’s wrong with catcalling and the people who do it.

After revealing that he calls women on the street “sweetheart” and makes a clicking noise usually reserved for dogs to get their attention, it dawns on him that he might have misunderstood the assignment.

“Wait a second. Are you reporting that girls don’t like this?” he asks Jones. “We’re just acknowledging that you did a good thing today, getting up out of bed.”

What a gentleman.
