This is a pretty big deal.

Steam rarely has sales outside of games, so this is a pretty big deal.

You can currently save $15 on Steam hardware for a limited time. The deal applies to controllers and Steam Link, which allows players to expand their gaming experience beyond the PC and onto the big screen.

Both the controller and Steam Link usually cost $49.99, but they’ve both been marked down to $34.99. The occasion? Steam just announced in a blog post that 500,000 controllers have been sold. It's been marked down on GameStop until June 7 to celebrate.

Amazon also has the Steam Link on sale for $34.99, but the controller is still $50, so Game Stop has the better deal overall.

Update 11:31am CT, June 5: Amazon now has the Steam controller on sale for $34.95 as well, but the Steam Link is currently out of stock.
