Need something to amuse your nerdy senses? Look no further.

The nerds of the world are always at an impasse when it comes to consuming media. Between videos, games and our Kindle libraries, it's genuinely difficult to ever choose one thing to give our full attention. (And that's if we put down our phones long enough.)

Fortunately, it's our job to sift through the piles of new goodies that come out every week and tell you which ones are the most worth your time. We'll do so in our brand new Read, Watch, Play series, which you can look forward to every Friday, starting now.

So put on your favorite Pusheen shirt, throw your pants into a dark place where they will never return, and enjoy these Daily Dot-approved picks.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past

Any RPG fan has a soft spot in their heart for a good Dragon Quest. The newest is actually a remake of Dragon Warrior VII, which originally came out for the PlayStation in 2001. The good news is that the new version is polished, super engaging and 100 percent adorable.

We've spent some time with the game and are amazed by how good the storytelling is 15 years after its original release. The minute you see that first slime, you get those chills that remind you how good it is to return to the classics.
